Install

cargo build --release; the binary is embedded-debugger-mcp.

Usage

  • Run `embedded-debugger-mcp serve` for MCP over stdio, or use the bundled CLI/skill.

Key features

  • two interchangeable backends (probe-rs, OpenOCD GDB RSP)
  • diagnose_fault and unwind_exception for Cortex-M crashes
  • flash, RTT, breakpoints, memory tools
  • Codex/Claude Code skill included
  • safety gating for flash/memory operations

Caveats

  • Cortex-M specifics (fault diagnosis, register reads) do not apply to Xtensa/ESP32
