What you need to know

ClaudeMap (v0.2.0, MIT) is 'Google Maps for vibecoders' — an interactive visual map of your codebase organized by what each part does, built by Claude scanning and grouping the project into concepts you can zoom around, with /explain and /show commands.

Install

npx @quinnaho/claudemap install (requires Claude Code or Codex for Claude features)

Usage

  • Run the install command to have Claude map your project into a visual concept map
  • Zoom in/out, ask /explain and /show to navigate the codebase by meaning

Key features

  • Visual map of code organized by function/concept rather than filesystem
  • Color-coded health signals per concept; zoom in/out navigation
  • /explain and /show commands for querying the map; Codex support noted

Best for

Developers who want to quickly understand, navigate, and present what a codebase does by concept map.

Caveats

  • Requires Claude Code or Codex for the Claude features (map generation); v0.2.0 early-stage
Platforms: macOS · Linux · WindowsClients: Claude Code · Codex · MCP/CLI
