Download the .mcpb bundle for Claude Desktop
Install the CEP plugin with premiere-pro-mcp --install-cep

Usage

  • Keep assistant, server, connector and Premiere on the same computer
  • Ask to edit timelines, apply effects, color correct and export; verify with ping and get_capabilities

Key features

  • 280 core tools across 31 modules
  • ExtendScript and QE DOM backend bridged via file-based IPC
  • Safe edit planning with SHA-256 plan token binding
  • Unsafe scripting disabled by default, gated behind explicit authority
  • UXP bridge adding 19 capability-gated tools
  • HTTP/SSE remote transport with bearer token auth
  • Resources and workflow prompts for guided editing

Best for

Editors and video workflows where AI assistants drive Adobe Premiere Pro

Caveats

  • Requires Premiere Pro 2020-2026 on the same machine as the assistant
  • QE DOM is undocumented and can vary between Premiere builds
  • Any client that can reach the server can control Premiere
  • execute_extendscript is arbitrary code execution - guard rail only
